Blackberry n Apple Jam

 2lb cooking apples chopped

1lb sugar

2 tbsps lemon juice

8oz blackberries freshly picked!

Put all of the above in the order listed in your slow cooker and then cook for 5hrs on high. Thoroughly clean jars and then put the jars in a warm oven. Put the hot jam in the jars then cover with greaseproof paper or like I do circles from the cereal packet inner..leave to cool then put lids on and put in fridge.

Irish Soda Bread

225g wholemeal flour

225g strong white flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon of sugar

2 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda

60g butter

300ml milk

3 tablespoons of lemon juice

Mix it all together in a bowl then knead. Put it on a greased baking tray and either cut the bread into rolls or make a deep cross in the dough.  Bake at 180 degrees for about 20 mins.
